Moving Arts Espanola (MAE) is a youth-serving 501c3 organization that is now 10 years old. They serve hundreds of children and youth from low-income households where single parents and grandparents raising children to struggle to provide meaningful after-school activities.

Many area families experience household poverty and childhood trauma which can be a barrier to achievement with regard to academic, physical, social-emotional and nutritional wellness. MAE provides many resources for at-risk youth and provides an opportunity to build resiliency, self-awareness and confidence in young people. Students gain life skills: critical thinking, team building and the opportunity to express emotions and ideas in creative and supportive environment.
